Abstract (English)

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused unprecedented disruption in global sectors, significantly impacting education. This uncertainty puts every educational institution to the test of resilience, affecting day-to-day activities in finance, marketing, operations, and human resources. The study investigates the management strategies and innovation mechanisms employed by Philippine private K-12 schools that remain operational during the COVID-19 pandemic, utilizing the international standard for quality management, ISO 9001:2015. The paper employs a qualitative research approach (case study method with a embedded multiple-case design) that explores the business resilience of the respondent schools. The data obtained through semi-structured interviews with school principals were triangulated with pertinent school documents and interviews with other school community members to ensure data validity. Cross-case analysis were employed to derive the similarities, differences, and interpretations of the different data sources. The findings emphasized the need for a customized, adaptive, and collaborative approach to ensure the resilience and dynamism of the educational environment during global health crises. The study also revealed the individualized nature of each school's response to the pandemic challenges and the demands of the new normal. In conclusion, the multifaceted nature of the educational landscape during the pandemic necessitates an adaptive and collaborative approach. Prioritizing tailored strategies, collaborative efforts, flexibility, and innovation enables schools to navigate challenges posed by the pandemic and ensures a resilient and dynamic educational environment.
