Abstract/Summary

Creating a supportive environment in the workplace can enhance the effectiveness and motivation of employees. Positive relationships among employees can make the team stronger, and perform well at maximum level. The management leader is the key in order to achieve a harmonious and supportive environment. Some studies show that a supportive leader inspires and encourages its employees to maintain a positive outlook in order to achieve their goal.

Salespeople play a vital role in any organization, they are the ones who interact and deal with prospective clients of the company, and therefore they definitely need the support of the manager and co-employees.

This action research aims to create a supportive environment to a low performing sales group in Citimotors Alabang. Our group is one of the teams in the Sales department, which is composed of fifteen salespeople and a manager. In doing this action research analysis, ORJI method, Ladder of inference and journal keeping, were used as the basis of capturing my issue. This action research also discussed the salespeople motivation, and supportive leadership to further understand how it was connected in creating a supportive environment in the work place.

I created the framework of creating supportive environment through the collaboration of my team and the help of my boss.
