Abstract/Summary
This paper is a study on establishing a health club or gym in the locality of Better Living Subdivision in Paranaque City. The gym will be operational at the beginning of 2008 and shall be known as Tone Zone.
Tone Zone was born out of the personal need of the author for a decent gym in her locality. Tone Zone stems out of the author's assessment of a demand for a gym in the Better Living Area that has modern equipment and good customer service. It is the author's ardent wish to fill that void.
Tone Zone's vision is to serve as a catalyst in the community for residents to adopt healthier lifestyles through exercise. It aims to achieve this by providing the community with a comfortable, clean and safe accessible place to exercise.
Tone Zone will capitalize on its modern equipment, excellent customer service and its push for the education of its members to carve a name for itself and establish goodwill with the community it serves.
This study includes the analysis of the health club or gym industry as a whole as well as the Tone Zone's competitive advantage, objectives, strategies, implementation and financial projections.
The author used first hand information in the form of a survey and interviews and published data by the NSO among others. The data used in financial projection were collated, treated and analyzed to determine the viability of the business.
