Abstract/Summary
The topic of this Strategic Management Paper is about Aktus Global, an accounting firm and a provider of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO). This paper analyzes the Macroenvironment issues that affect the industry of Aktus Global which belongs to the professional business services industry. The following Macro issues were considered:
Stable Economic Growth with an average GDP for 2007 at 5.6%
Technological Developments on Broadband and VoIP
Brain Drain of Accounting Professionals
Growth in BPO in Finance and Accounting Services
Under this industry the 5 Forces Analysis was also used in order to come up with the Opportunities and Threats together with the Strengths and Weaknesses of the Company, strategies were crafted. The following are the strategies:
Strategy 1. To improve the information technology infrastructure of the operations, through additional e-accounting and data transmission processes.
Strategy 2. To offer value-added services such as custom reports to clients, producing free training modules for clients, and a centralize customer service center for accounting and tech support.
Strategy 3 To continue offering the BPO accounting services to existing local clients and clients abroad.
With these strategies, Aktus Global will be able to fulfill their continuing effort in pursuing their vision amidst the present business conditions.
