Abstract/Summary
This Adobe Flash presentation is a revamped version of the PowerPoint visual aid of the Disaster Management Orientation (DMO) program by Citizen's Disaster Response Center. The DMO is a lecture conducted to college/university students in Metro Manila. The orientation basically discusses concepts and activities in disaster management as well as the current Philippine disaster situation. Hence, this visual aid, which is in support of the said DMO lecture, is divided into four modules: Basic Concepts and Community-Based Disaster Management, Scopes, Phases, and Activities in Disaster Management, Philippine Disaster Situation: and, Roles and Challenges toward Disaster Preparedness and Resiliency. The purpose of these modules is to address the problem on the retention of the concepts given in the lecture as well as to correct the design errors in the previous DMO visual aid.
