Abstract/Summary
Electrically conducting PT(BF4) films were prepared by electrochemical deposition from acetonitrile solutions. The effects of changes in synthesis temperature, current density, and anion molarity on the transverse conductivity of the films were studied. Transverse conductivity was highest at a synthesis temperature of 5 centigrade, current density of 3 mA/cm2, synthesis time of 3 hrs. and an anion molarity of 0.1M. Transverse conductivity was lowest at a synthesis temperature of 10 centigrade, current density of 2mA/Cm2, a synthesis time of 2 hrs. and an anion molarity of 0.1 M. The thickness of the PT films was found to increase with the synthesis time.
