Abstract/Summary
The number of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) according tp the latest survey done by the National Statistics Office last 2012 continually increased as the years passed by. This only shows that many of our fellow countrymen opt to leave their families behind to find their luck in some other distant places. This usually results to broken relationship inside families where mostly children grew up without even knowing up close their parents. In contrast to how Filipino values the importance of family, the issues on poverty and underemployment greatly affects the culture we have as a family oriented society.
