Abstract/Summary
A survey of mushrooms was conducted at Barangay Mancatian in Porac, Pampanga and in Barangay Makangkong, Barangay Balutu and Barangay Pitabunan in Concepcion, Tarlac. The fleshy gilled mushrooms that were collected and identified were Volvariella, Coprinus, and Panaeolus from Mancatian and Lentinus, Pleurotus and Panus from Makangkong, Balutu and Pitabunan. The results of the soil analysis indicated that the collection sites in Concepcion, Tarlac had a sandy loam soil texture with a higher phosphorus, potassium and organic matter content compared with the results of the soil analysis of Mancatian wherein the soil texture was coarse.
