Abstract/Summary
An ethnobotanical study on the Ikalahans of Imugan, Santa Fe, Nueva Viscaya was conducted. Basic ethnobotanical procedures such as surveying, collecting plant specimens and interviewing were done in this study. A total of 99 plant species, 76 genera belonging to 45 families were used as food, building materials, materials in making domestic articles. Dominant plant species found in the area were hagid (Thysanoleana latifolia), laya (Zingiber officinale Roscoe), obi (Ipomoea batatas L.), aba (Colocasia esculenta Roscoe), obi (Alnus japonicum Steud.) and dagwey (Saurauia sp.).
