Abstract/Summary

Facade is a short drama feature about Eave, an esteemed architect who, after discovering that her son is gay, is confronted with numerous struggles, eventually affecting her relationship with friends and family. The film uses transformation as its master plot (Tobias 143) and tackles Kubler-Ross’ five stages of grief – Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, and Acceptance- which the proponents associated with the stages parents undergo once their children come out.
