Abstract/Summary
Philippine Center for Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development, Inc. (PCEPSDI) is a non-profit non-government organization that administers the National Ecolabelling Programme of the Philippines' "Green Choice Philippines (NELP-GCP)." Its advocacy is to promote sustainable production and consumption. Currently, the organization has four Facebook pages Philippine Center for Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development Inc. (PCEPSDI), Green Youth Movement of the Philippines (GYM) and Philippine Green Pages' and a twitter account, Green Choice Phils @PCEPSDI) that is geared towards the consumers. These communication materials were perceived as lacking and ineffective in communicating the importance of green consumption especially to the youth, ages 18-25, based on the audit made.
The intervention consisted of an online campaign through Facebook, a half-day symposium, and a manual for social media management. All collaterals were made by the proponents in collaboration with PCEPSDI.
