Abstract/Summary
One hundred twenty (120) footwears from the farmers were used as sources of dermatophytes. The specimens were characterized according to their colonial and microscopic morphology using the description of Larone (1996). Collected specimens belonged to the Genus Trichophyton and Microsporum. Fifty one (51) isolates belonged to genus Trichophyton and eleven (11) isolates from the genus Microsporum, 44 isolates of unidentified dermatophytic fungi were also recorded. Non-dermatophytic fungi like Aspergillus and Penicillium were also isolated.
