Abstract/Summary
A taxonomical study of marine gastropod shells found in Narvacan and San Ildefonso, Ilocos Sur was undertaken in June 1991. Specimen were collected, cleaned, photographed and identified up to the species level, including author name. Identification was done with the help of reference books and resource persons. The size (length and width), shape, color, geographical distribution, and distribution in area of study of each shell were also noted down. A total of thirty-six species were collected, twenty of which came from Narvacan and the remaining sixteen from San Ildefonso. They were classified into one subclass, three orders, three suborders, eleven superfamilies, sixteen families and eighteen genera.
