Abstract/Summary
The aim of the paper is to present a mathematical or scientific approach in constructing salary structures. The researchers deal with the topic of finite differences, in particular. The equation y = a + bx + crx is used as the model for constructing the ideal salary structures. Given four salary grades and their corresponding salaries, the values for the entire salary structure is determined by fitting the values into the equation. To further simplify and hasten the process of salary structure construction, a simple computer program is formulated by the researchers to solve the equations and provide a printout. The program is constructed using Turbo Pascal Version 4.0
