Abstract/Summary
This study was designed to determine if carbon tax has a justifiable effect on selected Philippine listed energy firms financials. Furthermore, it included the analysis of how of employees and size of assets affect the magnitude or existence of carbon tax. The paper examines the effect of carbon tax on particular financial ratios of the chosen companies. It further studies the net effect of carbon tax to corporate income taxes and thus to a corporations net spending or savings with respect to taxes paid. With the use of a multinational logistic regression, these effects will be analyzed.
