Abstract/Executive Summary
Bud&Bloom was established in February 2026 by Best Buds, a group of senior high school students from De La Salle University-Manila (DLSU), to provide unique, affordable, and emotionally meaningful gift options for students and young consumers. Inspired by trends in neighboring countries, the business introduced animal-themed flower bouquets and potted succulents to the Philippines through social media, word of mouth, and on-site sales at the DLSU ABM Bazaar. Operating in the gift and floral industry, Bud&Bloom is currently in its expansion stage after a successful sold-out launch, generating ₱25,150 in sales in its first month. The management team consists of Helena Robles as Owner, Felizia Shayn Flores as Finance Manager, Princess Rochelle Morente as Marketing Manager, and Rodrigo V. P. Mapoy as Operations Manager, supported by suppliers from Dangwa Flower Market and local material providers. Bud&Bloom offers a niche alternative to competitors like BloomingailsPH, which offer a similar product at a higher price. The business operates as a sole proprietorship due to its flexibility and simplicity, suitable for a student-led venture. Its tagline, “Grow love, gift meaning. Let memories take root,” appeals to customers with aesthetics and sentimental value. Bud&Bloom plans to expand through seasonal collections, curated marketing campaigns, and collaborations. The business used ₱15,473 in funds from its founders and relied solely on retained earnings rather than external financing. Within two months, Bud&Bloom achieved an 88.77% return on investment (ROI) and reinvested its profits to support its future plans.
