About the Keynote Speakers
Prof Greg Foliente is a 2023-25 Balik Scientist (BSP-DOST) and Golden Jubilee Honorary Professor at De La Salle University, Advanced Research Institute on Informatics, Computing and Networking (AdRIC). He is currently Enterprise Professor in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at the University of Melbourne, and President and Board Chair for the non-profit International Initiative for a Sustainable Built Environment (iiSBE). A scholar of global standing, he is a recipient of the prestigious James Croes Medal from the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), amongst other awards, and listed in Stanford University’s world ranking of top 2% scientists based on his published work in Scopus. He is an interdisciplinary scientist who currently serves on the editorial board of 5 international journals. With three decades of experience leading and facilitating the development of national and international research agenda in various sectors and domains, he is also an expert consultant to UN agencies and other international institutions. Greg has previously worked at Virginia Tech and the University of California in Berkeley in the US, and the Australian national science agency, the CSIRO. He received his BSc degree at Mapua University, 2 MSc and PhD degrees at Virginia Tech in the US, and executive leadership and management training at the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the MIT Sloan Executive Education. Stefan Pautze is a distinguished artist, curator, and art theorist known for his interdisciplinary work that bridges art, technology, and society. With a career spanning innovative digital media projects, thought-provoking exhibitions, and academic contributions, he has made a significant impact on the contemporary art scene. His work has been showcased in prestigious galleries and festivals worldwide, earning him recognition for his ability to challenge traditional boundaries and inspire new ways of engaging with art.
