Abstract
A modified flame atomic absorption spectrophotometric method employed for the determination of cadmium and lead in mussel tissue was validated. Performance characteristics and limitations of the method were investigated. The method was found to be suitable only for cadmium analysis as revealed by the accuracy and precision tests.
