Abstract
The materials requisition form was a critical documentation of all requests for Marketing Communication Office (former name of Office for Strategic Communications). However, the MRF contained items that overlap with other STRATCOM forms and therefore needs to be updated. With this in mind, the equipment request form (ERF) was developed to address the concerns of the MRF. Additional guidelines were added updating to assist requesting party have a better understanding of the requirements and STRATCOM identify events or activities.
The ERF addresses key issues that the MRF is unable to attend to. Primary to these were the outdated guidelines. Having an outdated guideline would make the end user submission of documents to STRATCOM to be incomplete. Another item that most users fail to comply is their failure to provide the name and location of the activity. The ERF includes the items said.
Eventually, the ERF clarifies and streamlines the request process for the end user. If the process is clearer, STRATCOM and end user’s documentation of requests will be more efficient and there would be more efficient delivery of service.
