Abstract
The Leadership Module for First Year Law Students was a module developed by the Office of the Student Leadership Involvement, Formation and Empowerment (SLIFE) as part of the Lasallian Formation course (FORMLAW) of De La Salle University (DLSU) College of Law. The FORMLAW course introduced law students to Prayer, Meditation, Self- introspection, Lasallian Guiding Principles, Mental Health and Career Development, Leadership, Empowerment, Social Engagement, Introspection in the Light of Faith and Justice and Civic Responsibility. The Leadership Module of FORMLAW aims to help first year law students express their views on leadership, know their leadership styles, and learn about developing self-leadership. Students are expected to create a leadership action plan for practicing self-leadership at the end of the module. The module was implemented on Academic Year 2020-2021 and was published on the AnimoSpace learning management system of DLSU. Students participated in the module through asynchronous learning. At the end of the academic year, students evaluated the module’s quality, usability and potential effectiveness. It was recommended that the module be continued next academic year given the positive feedback of the students.
