The Christian Brothers in RP were originally under Malaysia's Penang District; became a sub-district of the San Francisco District and later the Baltimore District of the U.S. On Feb. 2 '70, the Brothers' Institute in Rome granted DLS Brothers in RP official recognition as a Province after 59 years of service in country. Bro. Benildo was named first Filipino Provincial.
