Three students of DLSU were among the 27 outstanding students who received the Bank of the Philippine Islands Science Awards for 1997 during the 7th BPI Science Awards. The students were: Aimee Uy, BS Math major in Actuarial Science and Statistics Favian Nelson Ong, BS Manufacturing Engineering and Management and Ariel Amarillo, BS Electronics and Communication Engineering.
