Sixteen judges composed of the Brothers and faculty voted for 1955 Outstanding Athletes of De La Salle. Richard 'Dick' Manion, track man of year, was voted Athlete of the Year. Alfred Khu was outstanding athlete in baseball Juan Ma. Jose in tennis Juan Munoz, Jr. in field event Martin Urra in basketball Albert Villareal in football and Juan Pertierra in swimming.
