Abstract/Summary
The purpose of this action research is to improve not just the sales of HearSound Healthcare Center but to also improve our social commitment through collaboration with Non-Government Organization’s (NGO) hearing projects. HearSound Healthcare Center is a fairly new company in the industry who generally targets premium market. The company currently enjoys a minimal competition but with the presence of pandemic many businesses, including ours, had experience financial loss.
To further achieve our desired outcome, the statement of the problem formulated is “How could we increase our sales without losing the image we are building? This paper will show how we are able to construct the problem, recognize the opportunity at hand, device the plan of action that would address the issue, implement, and evaluate our action. We also made use of Action Research Cycle (Coghlan and Brannick, 2014), Instrumental Stakeholder Theory (Jones, 1995), Business Model Canvas, Building the social business model by Yunus (2010), and Sustainable Business Model Innovation (SBMI).
Throughout the implementation, it becomes more evident how cross-sector collaboration would help each parties involved in achieving their goals and objectives. Additionally, this action research made me realized how collaboration is important in changing a business process. That everyone involve in the activity should have commitment and perseverance in attaining the desired outcome.
