Abstract/Summary

Digital transformation is crucial for every organization to future-proof their business. Being able to support different initiatives by the business units may prove to be difficult for IT teams and the existing infrastructure since it is not prepared to support the fast-paced deployment being expected. The existing infrastructure has a long release cycle as the different departments are working in silos and tools are not integrated that will automate the development pipeline. This results in poor products being delivered to their customers. Given these reasons, this study aims to help the organization streamline its process and support its agile adoption through deploying a DevOps infrastructure. This was done by conducting an assessment of the organization which includes understanding the software delivery lifecycle, existing tools, programming languages, processes, and even pain points being experienced. This information was used to proceed with the study. A pilot test was conducted that allowed the organization to use the CI/CD pipeline to build, test, and deploy their project. This was then verified by conducting a survey which results were used to further optimize the CI/CD pipeline for the expanded pilot test.
