Abstract/Summary

This paper focuses on assessing and developing the Tower Retrofitting procedure of Ericsson Telecommunications, Philippines. It is one of the leading service providers of telecommunication infrastructure in Asia. The Intern was able to identify the common problems encountered during Tower Retrofitting implementation through the use of quality procedure techniques and checking points.

As observed, these significant concerns were identified and analyzed in terms of their root cause. Control points were then established in the processes involved to minimize, if not eliminate, the recurrence of these conflicts. Upon the identification of the root cause of the problem, it was determined that there is no standard operating or quality procedure that would consistently ensure the quality and process of tower retrofitting. Thus, an efficient Tower Retrofitting flow and a detailed standard operating procedure applied to the current Tower Retrofitting system were developed. This approach involves an established flowchart for common reference and faster processing of documents aligned with the digitization of the current system due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The consistent implementation and follow-through of the proposed Tower Retrofitting Flow and Standard Operating procedures were constructed to improve the company's work quality and strengthen its clients' deliverables within the schedule and allotted budget.
