Abstract/Summary

In the time of the pandemic, it is crucial that one possesses the right set of digital skills, consistent access to digital materials, & constant engagements via digital communication, especially in today’s competitive labor market. This study describes the levels of digital inclusion of 110 financial advisors in a selected insurance company in Metro Manila, and its effect on perceived work success in the time of the pandemic, along with influencing phenomena such as sociodemographic and work-related characteristics, and digital profile inventory. It makes use of a cross-sectional, quantitative research design, and involves the use of an online survey as a research method, with respondents selected through a purposive sampling technique. The findings showed that females are more digitally included during the pandemic, and that digital inclusion is positively affected when an individual possesses multiple gadgets, when an organization is able to provide technology for its employees, and when an individual chooses to regularly maintain and upgrade their digital devices. The study also found that digital inclusion is indeed an affecting antecedent of perceived work success: the higher one’s level of digital inclusion is, the more inclined they are to feel a sense of achievement as well as satisfaction whilst carrying out their job-tasks even during the pandemic.
