Abstract/Summary
The Street is a 28-page magazine on street art in the Philippines. This magazine covers various topics about street art in the Philippines. Artist features showcase some of the big names in the Filipino street art scene. Some articles cover the origins and growth of street art in the country. Another article covers what the artists talk about with the use of their art, the purpose of their pieces and the meanings behind them. Another covers the struggles that these artists have experienced amid the current Covid-19 pandemic. The art in this magazine is a testament to the unique and individualistic nature of street art as a medium. The proponent of this project created all the art with the use of her own style, using concepts taken from the articles.
The project was conceptualized and developed by the proponent, who conducted interview with the artists, and wrote the articles. The proponent then drew the graphics using Adobe Photoshop, and executed the layout with InDesign. 8.5 x 11 inches. PDF format.
