Abstract (English)
This study investigates how Kabataan Partylist (KPL) constructs and negotiates its organizational identity using organizational rhetoric (Fairhurst & Cooren, 2018; Chaput et al., 2011). Findings reveal that KPL establishes its identity as the "authentic youth voice" through the strategic use of rhetorical appeals, Ethos, Pathos, and Logos. While repetitive slogans and digital symbols stabilize this identity, the study also highlights significant challenges in membership negotiation, exacerbated by external political pressures, and institutional security protocols. Ultimately, the research demonstrates that KPL’s identity is not static but is continuously "talked into being" through a dynamic process of performance and defensive rhetoric, balancing militant activism with formal legislative representation.
