Abstract (English)

The organizational communication problem in this research arises from the complexity of integrating fragmented and speculative stories — known as “antenarratives”- into a cohesive narrative framework (Boje, 2001). PCG’s organizational communication issue lies in its inability to consistently acknowledge and integrate the antenarratives of its stakeholders into its organizational narrative. This issue is compounded by a lack of engagement between PCG’s board of directors and its members, leading to fragmented communication, misalignment, and the marginalization of stakeholder voices. Currently, PCG lacks a formal platform where members can actively negotiate and share their antenarratives. Without such a platform, PCG risks failing to capture the diverse perspectives necessary for building an inclusive organizational narrative. This gap highlights the importance of integrating listening practices. The goal of this research is to build a culture of listening and engagement within PCG, or an environment where feedback and stakeholder input are actively sought, valued, and acted upon (Gregory, 2015, p. 598). This prompted the researchers to use the Listening Concepts Inventory (LCI) model by Imhof & Janusik (2006) as a guiding principle in developing the four propensities based on the data gathered from the audit related to the digital interactive newsletter. By using LCI as a guiding principle in creating the newsletter, the researchers aim to develop the exchange of information in the newsletter into networking and interpersonal connections (Place, 2023).
