Abstract (English)

The study aims to investigate the Complementary Alternative Medicine (CAM) use among Generation Z Filipinos and how it is affected by their level of health literacy and cultural attitudes toward CAM. It also aims to investigate how CAM use affects subjective well-being. A descriptive correlational approach was employed. Data was gathered from a total of 121 Generation Z Filipino respondents using an online self-administered survey. Results revealed that behavioral intention has a significant weak positive association with Filipino-based CAM use. It was also discovered that cultural attitudes toward CAM have a significant moderate positive association with Filipino-based CAM use. Lastly, CAM use was found to have no significant association with subjective well-being which can be attributed to the low extent of CAM use among Generation Z Filipinos residing urban areas. Further investigation is recommended on region, health status, and peer influence as possible factors that affect CAM use.
