Abstract/Summary

This paper discusses the increase in productivity and quality improvement of Asset and Pricing Services team through automation. Automation provides very important benefits such as cost reduction, productivity, availability and reliability. It helps to improve individual performance that would increase organizational value and will result to reduction in the risk of an error. Quality is the top priority of Asset and Pricing Services team, however, a number of incorrect emails sent to partner areas are increasing due to different factors such as manually creating it from scratch and manual copying and pasting of data. With the growing numbers of erratum emails, APS email macro generator was created to address the team’s issue. Business process improvement framework and MIPIM Process Improvement Methodology were utilized to guide the researcher in implementing this project. As the project progressed, critical business functions that require sending of emails and contingencies for vendor and system issues encountered by the team were tackled and incorporated. This integrated action research project involved the creation of email macro generator for Asset and Pricing Services team, automating email format of processes addressed to its intended recipients improving the quality of the tasks.
