Abstract/Summary
This action research paper discusses the process by which the Client Account Management Team in ACD Bank was able to establish a process to monitor the team member’s individual productivity despite the complexity of their functions. Through collaboration, the team identified the focal issue as manifested by lack of productivity reports which could be useful in performance evaluation and reporting. Following the Action Research Cycle by Coghlan (2019), the team agreed on the issue and actions to take to address the restraining forces as identified in the Force Field Analysis exercise.
Being the facilitator of this action research, I used tools such as the journaling, ladder of inference, and double column in my self-reflections. I also utilized three types of inquiry and four parts of speech in communicating with the collaborators.
As guidance in the action research project, the team used Maheshwari’s (2016) Productivity Conceptual Framework supplemented by Kurt Lewin’s Change Management Framework in the implementation.
