Abstract/Summary

The current business environment is one which is operating in a time of tremendous change in the world of work brought about by advances in technology and the emergence of globalization. Given the accelerated rate and complexity of changes in the workplace, there is prevalence of overload in modern day organizations. To counter the adverse effects of these changes, organizations are taking a proactive stance in the management of change. In the same breadth, this study aimed at improving organizational commitment among team members of the Trust Department of AB Capital, an organization currently facing challenges brought about by ongoing management reorganization. Employing action research as the methodology for the study, and applying the theoretical and conceptual formulations on organizational commitment, this study further aimed to incorporate the bayanihan concept in the Trust Department of AB Capital to foster active commitment to the organization and its change initiatives.
