Abstract/Summary

The major concern of this paper is the analysis of delegation or non-delegation of school functions, from the notion that analysis is an indispensable condition to a valid conceptualization of a model organizational set-up for three provincial, parochial high schools. Only the major areas of delegation and non-delegation were touched. And, for purposes of a functional organizational set-up, this study is limited to the tasks under : 1) planning, 2) decision-making, 3) reporting, and 4) supervision. A descriptive, survey, using a questionnaire and interview was the main tools in data gathering. The target of the survey was a picture of the existing organizational structure, of management, and of the lines of delegation in the three catholic high schools. Performed in the latter part of the paper were the ranging of the realities against the model, the drawing of legitimate conclusions, and offering of appropriate recommendations.
