Abstract/Summary

This handbook is prepared to promote effective coordination of the various sectors of the school organization, to facilitate harmonious working relationships among the administrators, faculty and non-teaching personnel, and to provide teachers confidence and security in their jobs. The study made use of the descriptive method. Sources of data included unwritten policies and practices of the school, obtained through interviews relevant government laws and policies of government agencies evaluation standards and other written information on the subject matter. The proposed handbook contains the following: 1) Position description defining the functions, duties, organizational relationships and qualifications. 2) Policies, procedures, rules and regulations on service conditions, as well as evaluation of teacher performance and behavior. The proposed handbook will be presented to the administration of La Salette of San Mateo for critique and possible adoption.
