Abstract/Summary

The study aims to develop an Administrative-Faculty Handbook for Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Academy. This study used the descriptive survey method of research. Data and information were gathered through a survey questionnaire and interviews were conducted with the living pioneers of the school, the incumbent Director, Principals, faculty members and other non-teaching personnel of OLSHA. A checklist was utilized to find out the school's historical background, philosophy and objectives, the job descriptions of personnel as well as the actual practices and existing policies that affect them. Available school records and documents were reviewed to establish the history of the school. A seminar-workshop was held to formulate the school's philosophy and objectives as well as the personnel policies, rules and regulations. It was concluded that there was a need for a written administrative-faculty handbook for OLSHA to spell out the roles of administrators, teachers and non-teaching personnel and to define the policies, rules and regulations that affect them.
