Abstract/Summary
This practicum paper details the activities performed by the author during her on the job training at SMART Communications Inc., variously: familiarization with the elements and signal flow of the actual GSM network and familiarization with the USSD Server and its functions to the SMART 258 Unlimited text and call services. It also discusses the nature of the work performed by the author including her actual participation prior and during the implementation and performance evaluation of the SMART 258 Unlimited text and call services. The three stages of the project testing activities namely: Implementation and Operational Testing using the Test Bed; Integration of the USSD server using two MSCs located at the Smart tower and Roll out test are also herewith discussed.
