Abstract/Summary
The study investigates the suitability and performance of personal computer numerical controller using fuzzy logic as a control in upgrading existing gas-cutting machine in Metals Industry Research and Development Center. The system operates in any compatible IBM PC which features DXF file reader, G Code generator and graphics simulator. It has an embedded fuzzy logic control system in setting different gas-cutting parameters. Results showed that personal computer numerical controller using fuzzy logic helps to make gas-cutting operation easier and faster.
