Abstract/Summary
The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Manila Branch, commonly known as HSBC MNL, is a wholly owned subsidiary and principal member of HSBC Holdings plc, the Holding company of HSBC Group. HSBC Holdings, plc is incorporated in the United Kingdom but it shares are being traded in London and Hong Kong.
HSBC MNL has been in the Philippine for more than 120 years. Unfortunately, its presence in the Philippine market is hardly felt. Despite its leadership in several business, it seldom asserts its products and services and fails to influence the market as well. This paper was conceived with the aim of determining possibilities of sustaining HSBC MNLs business and creating a more visible presence in the Philippine Market.
