Abstract/Summary

The 3' / 5'-OH and the 2'-OH/amino/imino functions of adenosine, cytidine and uridine were protected with 1,3-dichloro-1,1,3,3-tetraisopropyldisiloxane (TIPDSiCl2) and 2,2,2-trichloro-tertiarybutylesterchloroformate (TCBOC-C1), respectively in two stages. Cleavage of the tetraisopropyldisiloxyl group was attempted using hydronium and flouride ions. NMR analysis showed partial deblocking at the 5'-position.
