Abstract/Summary
Due to their portability and memory capacity, mass storage devices or thumb drives have become the latest trend in data storage. But so far, only computers can access and manage files in USB devices. Likewise, mobile phones have become the prevailing means of communication that also provide other services or applications such as radio, organizer, Bluetooth and internet.
Utilizing both technology advancements, the research aims to create a USB file transfer system running on the mobile phone. It will use an external microcontroller to facilitate the data transfer between two USB mass storage devices with the mobile phone serving as a user interface to manipulate the microcontroller and initiate the sequence.
