Abstract/Summary
The progressive and highly competitive business environment has been through numerous downfalls, from natural disasters to financial crises, from frauds and scandals. This has brought the concern on risk management that has, in the past, focused mostly to only threats and losses. These measures taken to mitigate risks have given businesses and stakeholders a greater view on the risk management environment.
The revolutionary practice and discipline by what is considered the new and holistic approach of the traditional risk management (TRM) - known as enterprise risk management (ERM) - emphasize risk management in an integrated, comprehensive, and strategic system. This thesis investigates the various effects of the adoption and implementation of enterprise risk management practice on the market value of private domestic universal banks listed in the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE).
