Abstract/Summary
The Bataan Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) has been mothballed for over three decades ever since Corazon Aquino ousted Ferdinand Marcos from power in 1986. The people have been divided into two groups that continue to fight for their own ideologies concerning the BNPP. The anti-nuclear group perceived that the risks are greater than the benefits of operating a nuclear plant and more so heightened after the occurrences of nuclear accidents, whereas the pro nuclear group believes the contrary (Synergist and Visschers. How a Nuclear Power Plant Accident Influences Acceptance of Nuclear Power Plant Results of a Longitudinal Study Before and After the Fukushima Disaster).
