Abstract/Summary
The study identified the turnover intention and organizational commitment of selected Generation X and Y employees. Their reasons as well as the perceived effects of organizational commitment, gender and marital status on turnover intention were also examined. A survey was administered to 224 subjects to obtain their turnover intention and organizational commitment scores. Then, 36 of them were selected for the interview on reasons for turnover intention and organizational commitment. Results showed that both generations have average turnover intention and are committed to their organizations. Finally, gender, marital status and level of organizational commitment are perceived not to affect turnover intention.
