Abstract/Summary
Stealing behavior of western countries differentiate from eastern countries. Consequently a qualitative research was done to explore the different motivating factors for stealing behavior of middle and upper class adolescents in the Philippines. 12 participants, (3 middle-class males, 3 middle-class females, 3 upper-class males, and 3 upper-class females) were interviewed about stealing motivations. Results show that Experience, Social Influence, Family, and Coping as motivating factors. Results discussed provide a better understanding about adolescent stealing behavior and could provide ways in minimizing and eliminating the behavior for future studies.
