Abstract/Summary
The beeper car alarm's main function is to warn the owner of the vehicle, by means of a handheld receiver, that his car has been tampered with. There are two main parts in this car alarm system. First is the transmitter/reciever for the car. Its purpose is to transmit and recieve signals to and from the owner. This also includes all the five sensors that are placed in the car as reference to determine whether or not the car has been tampered with. The second part is the handheld reciever/transmitter of the owner. Its purpose is to recieve and transmit signals from and to the car. It contains five LED indicators allowing the owner to know what part of the car has been opened. Our preliminary studies have shown that the system is expected to work with a minimum distance of 50 meters away from the car. The handheld reciever can also activate, de-activate and reset the car alarm system.
