Abstract/Summary
This Ex-Post Facto Design attempted to determine the retention of knowledge and skills learned from the Basic Effective Secretarial Training (BEST), taken by sixty-eight (68) De La Salle University Secretaries, May, June, and July of 1993. It is also attempted to get the secretaries general attitude toward their work and toward training seminars and also with the relationship between experience and learning. A re-posttest was designed similarly to the posttest given during the seminar. The results of these tests showed that there is no significant change in the scores the June group, whereas the May and July groups showed significant changes in scores. Attitudes showed to be leaning toward the higher ratings on the Likert scale, giving a positive outlook o work and training seminars. Experience showed inverse correlation with learning, therefore implying that learning is indirectly related on experience. The mean scoes of the secretaries were computer showing a significant change, due to the lower scores on all the re-posttests. The May group's critical value was a 1.672 while the t value was a 15.313. The June group had a crtical value of 2.646. The July group's critical value was a 2.015 while the t value was a 4.538
