Abstract/Summary
Escherichia coli HB101 cells were treated with 50 mM and 100 mM of CaC12, MnC12 and CoC12 to see the effectivity and efficiency of the salts in transforming the cells into competent recipients for transformation with the plasmid pGEM4. Results showed the absence of transformation in the cells treated with the above salts.
