Abstract/Summary

This paper presents a comprehensive discussion of the theoretical and computer applications of the isometries. The first part gives the theory of isometries in the Euclidean plane and discusses the definitions of each type. Proofs of theorems with their examples and figures are provided for a clearer understanding of the concepts. The second part discusses how the program works and how the concept has been applied using computer. The isometries discussed in this paper are the following: translation, rotation and glide reflection including in particular, reflection. Four figures are considered in the application of the isometries. These are point, line, triangle and quadrangle.
